Position Qualifications:

Utilize variety of treatment approaches in an integrated care setting, working closely with medical providers as part of care team. Provide screening, assessment, group and individual treatment, and consultation to support whole person health. Master’s degree in mental health field with substance abuse treatment experience required. Experience with DBT a plus. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with CACII preferred. Must have annual certification in CPR and First Aid and annual PPD testing.  Annual influenza immunization is required by November 1st.

 

Job Purpose:

To provide individual and group services as assigned to clients in compliance with state regulations as outlined in the DBH (Substance Abuse and Mental Health) regulations as well as liaison work with courts, clinical reports, and case management.

 

Knowledge, Skill & Ability

  • Ability to effectively deliver services in both a didactic and therapeutic setting.
  • Ability to provide individual intake and differential assessment functions for clients needing this service.
  • Ability to provide effective group facilitation.
  • A working knowledge of individual, group, family and crisis treatment approaches and their application to clients with emotional, behavioral and substance abuse problems.
  • Ability to summarize service themes from a variety of client contracts and communicate suggested improvements for service delivery.
  • Ability to do mental status exams, data bases and differential diagnoses, service planning, assessment case management and treatment.
  • Ability to assess level of risk and make appropriate clinical judgment for resolution of client emergencies to effect a safe outcome.
  • Ability to deliver services in various community locations.
  • Working knowledge of Colorado Revised Statutes 27-65 (Mental Health Code)
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR.
  • Knowledge of community health and mental health resources and their eligibility criteria.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Internet Access.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.  Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Must have current driver’s license and ability to be commercially insured and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with AHS commercial insurance agency.
