Position Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in human services and two years’ experience in the behavioral health field and CACII or above. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred. Annual Flu immunization by Nov 1, annual TB screening, current CPI training and BLS certification required. 

Job Purpose:

To provide individual and group services as assigned to clients in compliance with state regulations as outlined in the OBH (Substance Abuse and Mental Health) regulations. Liaison work with courts, clinical reports, and case management. Utilize a variety of treatment approaches to address the needs of a diverse population, working closely with a treatment team. Position will focus on addressing substance use disorders through individual & group services as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skill & Ability

  • Ability to effectively deliver services in both a didactic and therapeutic setting.
  • Ability to provide individual intake and differential assessment functions for clients needing this service.
  • Ability to provide effective group facilitation.
  • A working knowledge of individual, group, family and crisis treatment approaches and their application to clients with emotional, behavioral and substance abuse problems.
  • Ability to summarize service themes from a variety of client contracts and communicate suggested improvements for service delivery.
  • Ability to do mental status exams, data bases and differential diagnoses, service planning, assessment case management and treatment.
  • Ability to assess level of risk and make appropriate clinical judgment for resolution of client emergencies to effect a safe outcome.
  • Ability to deliver services in various community locations and/or by Telemedicine.
  • Working knowledge of Colorado Revised Statutes 27-65 (Mental Health Code)
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR.
  • Knowledge of community health and mental health resources and their eligibility criteria.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Internet Access.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.  Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Must have current driver’s license and ability to be commercially insured and maintain a driving record that allows insurability with AHS commercial insurance agency.
